Welcome to the University of Alabama Parents Association

Dear Parent,
Being the parent of a UA undergraduate student affords one certain privileges. Free membership in the Parents Association just happens to be one of them. Your University of Alabama Parents Association provides enhanced services that we as parents see as important for our students. The Association gives you the information, the forum, and the contacts that can help you stay involved in your student’s education.
The Parents Association is an active organization. Since its founding 15 years ago, the University of Alabama Parents Association has accomplished many things, including:
• Providing funding for a Parent’s Hotline to answer your questions and address your concerns
• Publishing newsletters to keep you informed about the University
• Providing funding for the Sylvester Jones Leadership and Career Resource Center
• Providing seed money for the Crimson Promenade project
• Sponsoring the Family Weekend tailgate for all University families
• Providing funding for library materials on campus safety for the Women’s Resource Center
• Sponsoring an annual Honors Week reception for families
• Assisting the Admissions Office with student recruitment receptions
• Presenting valuable tips to parents during New Student Orientation
• Providing memorials for deceased students and providing support for their families
• Hosting focus groups for Residential Life, Bama Dining, and the Alumni Association
• Contributing to student support relief funds for victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita
The Parents Association is committed to expanding our tradition of service to University students and their families. At the same time, we remain committed to a “no dues requirement” so that all families may benefit from the services we offer. Thus, we are dependent on your gifts to maintain and extend these services. We are sincerely grateful for any amount that you may contribute to the Parents Association. Thank you for your gift.
Sincerely,

Alyce & Bruce Spruell
Co-Presidents
