The Office of Parent Programs supports the successful academic and social transition of new students into the University of Alabama community, as well as educates, provides resources, and promotes continuous relationships among our students, parents, families and the University.
At the University of Alabama, we welcome parents and families as partners in your student's success at the Capstone. We recognize the crucial role that each of you will play in your student's college education. It is our goal to assist you in supporting the transition and academic success of your student by providing the resources you need to stay involved.

Parent Orientation 2010 registration is now available. We encourage you to attend with your newly admitted student.
Register for UA Family Connection: A complimentary online program designed to keep the parents of new students informed about important upcoming events and provide you with tips and articles to help you navigate through the freshman year with your student.
NEW PARENTS OF OUT-OF-STATE STUDENTS
If you are interested in receiving a complimentary guide for out-of-state parents which includes helpful information on local dining establishments, attractions, and other visitor information, please send an e-mail with your name, address, and phone number to parents@ua.edu.
Care Packages : Send your student a package to let them know you’re thinking about them. As a self supporting organization, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of these care packages will help to ensure that the Parents Association is able to continue to provide resources such as the parent send off breakfast, newsletters, and Family Weekend for each and every University of Alabama family!
